History of Masjid Umar and Olive Tree Quran Academy

Masjid Umar and Olive Tree Quran Academy was established in 2017 when a group of young people following the Salafi ideology took the initiative to promote and propagate the correct teachings of Islam through the “Darus Salam” library.

Background of Establishment

The Darus Salam library was the first step taken by the youth, where Islamic books, pamphlets, and other religious materials were preserved. Through this library, they began to spread the correct knowledge of Islam among the people of the area. After establishing the library, the youth felt the need for a larger educational institution where students could not only read books but also receive direct Islamic education.

Establishment of the Academy

This need led to the birth of Masjid Umar and Olive Tree Quran Academy. The main goal of its establishment was to combine authentic Islamic education with modern education. In 2020, the academy started its journey as a Hifz Madrasah, where the Quran, Hadith, and other religious subjects began to be taught.

Expansion and Development

Over the years, the academy expanded its scope and activities. Various programs, Hifz sections, and courses were introduced. In 2023, the “General with Hifz” program was launched, allowing students to memorize at least 5 parts of the Quran alongside their studies from primary (grades 1-5) level. The academy also offers education up to the higher secondary level. Moreover, the academy utilizes modern technology and educational tools to create an advanced and engaging learning environment for students.

Role in the Community

Masjid Umar and Olive Tree Quran Academy has established itself as an important social and religious center in the area. The students here not only acquire religious knowledge but also enhance themselves by participating in social responsibility and community service projects.
